We were happy to host our District Governor earlier this month. DG Blanche Parks gave her take on what it means to be a Rotarian; she was inspirational; it was great to get to know Blanche a little better and hear her plans for our operational year. In addition to her visiting our club, she visited our STEM event also escorted by PDG John Donovan and our club President Larry Martin. During her visit, she presented our Silent Rotarian of the Year award to a very deserving Rotarian, John Donovan. John has been an invaluable asset to our club for many years; he works tirelessly in support of our executive board and our club. Congrats to John, and we look forward to hosting DG Blanche again in November! Also at this meeting we welcomed our exchange student, Simon, who is attending Lansing High School --- he will be making a visit to our club on a monthly basis where we can get to know him better!
